VIETNAM 2.

Hey everyone! I got all these facts from Diem's blog so excuse me if she's wrong AHAHAH

Oh an we basically went over to Thao's place everyday.

9/12/12- Sunday

Benjamin

The 3 boys were really annoying all of us so me and Jenny, my younger cousin, told them there was a ghost upstairs who captured naughty boys. They were all really young but the two older ones, Jayden, Anthony who were 5 didn't believe us. David however, AHAHAHA. I nearly felt guilty because of the way he acted. He just sat really still in the corner and looked really scared. You could tell the older boys were half scared too as they annoyed us much less.

Present buying

We went with our cousins Thao and Vy (Jenny and Michelle as well) to the street shops to buy some cool pens. One lady didn't have any but she told us she would order them. Thao told her we were leaving tomorrow so the lady said she would get them ready at earliest convenience. She asked what time we were leaving and HUong, panicking, said 6 in the morning!

Crocodile

Near the church, a priest has a crocodile pet, crazy right? We went to play with it but it wouldn't move so Thao got a huge stick and poked it through a hole in the cage. It moved and we screamed like crazy! It was so fun :)

10/12/12- Monday

Markets

We all ( as in five of us girls) went with Thao to the the markets. We actually just go everyday. I have some videos which I shall upload as soon as I get home!

Hairwash

Ok so this doesn't seem that exciting but I loved it so I must include. Thao is 21 so she has a job. She has a hairwashing and nails business! She washed my hair and massaged my face for me! It took like a half hour and omfg it was amazing. Apparently she only charges her customers 10 000 dong which is 50 cents so..

11/12/12- Tuesday

Tapao

My family went to this religious mountain called Mt Tapao.
After, we went to a place that sold these Vietnames noodles.
We got home and played at Thao's place!

Oh by the way, Thao's family has six people.

Her mum- Tinh Phuong. (Tinh is the word for aunty in law)- an amazing woman. She is one of the nicest person I have ever met.

Dad- Chu Tai ( Chu is the word for your dad's younger brother)- Apparently, him, my dad and Kim and Yen's dad were the close ones in the family.

Thao- Probably my favourite cousin over there!

Viet- He's really quiet, is 15 but when he talks, he is actually so funny.

Thang- 8 years old. So cute! He's really funny and I love the way he speaks!

Khiem- 2 years old. He's the cutest thing ever! He can talk but doesnt like to much. HE IS SO CUTE OMFG. AHAHAHA I'm his favourite :) He loves me :) When our family left, he went to our grandparents house and tried to find me in each of the rooms. And apparently he cried heaps :(

So there. My favourite family in VN

12/12/12- Wednesday

Church

All Catholics united to prove that the world was not going to end on the 21st. The mass was centred around the supposed end of the world.

At the end of mass, the scariest thing happened. I went to Tinh Phuong to help her with looking after Khiem but suddenly, this man grabbed my hand. I thought he was asking for the time because he was holding my watch but he held on for quite too long. He looked really seedy and he kept licking his lips. My mum pulled me away and he just walked away. In VN, sometimes people steal jewellery. Like, sometimes they would pull off your earrings or cut your hand off to get a watch or ring. Mum said he picked my watch because it looked relatively expensive.

Dresses

My cousin Lan is getting married in October and even though she lives in Australia, she wanted all of her cousins to wear the traditional vietnamese dress called ao dai. We bought material so people in saigon could make it for us. Mine's blue :)

FRIENDS

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY.!!!!! Jenny and Michelle like watching friends! It was amazing. Jenny especially, she loves it! AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY Mini wave in celebration of us! How could I not friends ref here?

The next post will be about as Diem calls it, The sleepover period. I might do that tomorrow :)

Thanhy xoxo
