Hey guys! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! I know I'm kinda late but I'm gonna finish Blogging about VN AHAHAH- SLEEPOVER PERIOD

13/12/12- Thursday

It was Viet's 15th birthday! He stayed home from school that day because he could and as usual, we hung around their place all day.

Thao found out I didn't know how to ride a bike so that night, we went with her and the 3 boys to the church grounds cause apparently you can do that!

After, to celebrate,we went out to this place that sold this weird savoury thing. It turned out pretty nice though!

It was really late when we got back so we decided to sleepover at Thao's house! Me, my 2 sisters, my 2 younger cousins and Thao all had to squish in one bed! We watched a scary movie and it was so bad, most of us fell asleep. Of course I fell asleep because it was all in Vietnamese and i really didn't understand it all.

14/12/12- Friday

My whole family and Jenny and Michelle went to visit my great uncle's place an hour away from Phuong Lam. It was so big and pretty! There were also heaps of dogs! Like 5 or 6 and we spent heaps of time taking photos and playing with them.

We went out to the church again and I was getting pretty confident on a bike AHAHA me and Thang raced a couple times but seeing as he lives in Vietnam, he was pretty good!

We watched another scary movie and it sucked but oh well it was fun! We got pretty hungry so Thao and Viet went out to order chips on a stick! This was around 11 at night. It turns out Vietnamese people hate sleep! Everyone wakes at like 6 and my grandparents and auntie wake at like 3 in the morning!

15/12/12- Saturday

My family and my two cousins and Jenny's mum went to another priest's house and this was cool. He had like heaps of dogs as well and 3 monkeys. You know, it's perfectly normal to have 3 monkeys. AHAHAH

Huong felt kinda sick so she didn't sleep over that night but it was kinda unlucky because the scary movie was actually scary this time!

16/12/12- Sunday

BEST DAY IN VIETNAM I SWEAR LIKE NOT KIDDING SO MUCH FUN IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

Thang was home from school so we spent some of our morning drawing and it was so fun!

We made this huge huge long long skipping rope out of rubber bands. Jenny's mum helped us make it and she gave Thang money to buy rubber bands. He comes back with like a half kilo. The skipping rope turned out to be five metres long! And we made 2! We spent ages playing with that just skipping until around 2 when we had to start getting ready to go to Bac Tien's house (My dad's older brother- Bac basically means aunty/uncle who is older than my parents. AHAHAH) for a dinner party. The kids had their own table so that was cool.

Afterwards, the kids ( me, my sisters, Thao, her brothers, jenny, Michelle) went out to eat Kem Xoi which literally translates to ice cream sticky rice. It was served in a cup and had a layer of ice cream, sticky rice, ice cream again, coconut and peanuts. It was so good omg.

We then went out to see the Christmas lights. Christmas over there is huge! It was all so pretty!

We arrived home at around 9:30 I think and we played with the skipping rope! Viet and Thao knew me and my sisters are pretty scared by ghosts so they kept trying to scare us!

We went in to watch the movie from the night before because Huong didn't get to see it. After watching, none of us were at all tired so we just played. There was this game where everyone hides under the blanket and one person has to try to guess who was where. When Huong was it, Thao told us to run out of the room ( Huong had her eyes closed) and we scared her! Viet woke up and tried to scare us too.

When we were bored of the game, it was around midnight so we all went with Viet to the markets. It's really funny because the markets were more crowded then they were in the middle of the day. We went out to but Vietnamese pork rolls. It was really funny because we just decided to wear our pyjamas! And worse for me because I forgot to bring pyjamas to Thao's house so I wore my bike pants! My mum would probably kill us all if she found out!

After we finished eating at her house, we went in the room again. Here's a thing about their house, Imagine a big room- that's Thao and Viet's bedroom. There's a wall in the middle but the wall isn't connected to the ceiling so basically, there's a 60cm gap. So you can hear everything! Thang was awake by now and so he and Viet ( who shared a room) started scaring us by pretending to be ghosts so of course we did the same. It kept escalating from there though! It was so loud! I think it got too much when we started chucking things over AHAHAH Then their parents told us off...

We still weren't tired and by then it was around two in the morning. We just sat around and talked. Like about everything! And at 3, we all fell asleep.

17/12/12- Monday

The last night :(

In the day, we spent it just hanging around at her house. Even though we were leaving the next day pretty early, we still slept over :) We went to the kem xoi place again. Then we just went home. We didn't want to watch a movie that night. No one felt like talking and the atmosphere was kinda tense. We all just went to sleep

I don't feel like doing the last day because it's time to watch friends!
