Hi my name is Alice and this is my story. I was twelve when it happened. I would go over to his house everyday after school, even before returning back to mine.The day he started I didn't understand what was going on. I started to feel extremely uncomfortable but never knew what to do. I always had a feeling that the there was something wrong with the way he looks at me. He made me promise not to tell anyone and that it would be our little secret. I was forced to endure a whole hour of experiencing this disgusting act. I ran all the way home and as promised, I didn't say a word. Not to anyone. Even till this day I still lie in bed at night wondering if I could have possible stopped it. Just by understanding what was happening or about to happen, maybe, just maybe I would have been able to get away. But why? Why has no one ever told me bout this monstrosity? Why hadn't anyone told me about the pure evil that lies in this world? My parents, my friends, my school, they had 12 years! They had twelve years to help me. They had twelve years to make me understand. And in those twelve years, they didn't. It wasn’t that I wanted to learn more, but rather, I needed to. I can only hope the children today even at the youngest ages, would realise if something like this happened to them. I want to give girls a fighting chance. Because I couldn’t have that chance myself.
